Rosemary Plorin Partner & Senior Vice President
A seasoned public relations specialist and crisis communication expert, Rosemary Plorin offers 20 years of marketing, communications and media relations experience in the private and public sectors.
Plorin has extensive experience in corporate, community and government affairs, having worked in the communications aspects of mergers and acquisitions; labor negotiations; local, state and federal government relations; regulatory issues; public policy and company start-ups. She offers a broad spectrum of marketing, communications, public relations and strategic planning skills to clients in a wide variety of industries.
Specializing in healthcare crisis management, Plorin has worked with dozens of hospitals, nursing homes, post acute and long-term acute care facilities on projects such as: drug diversions and DEA investigations; accreditation denial by The Joint Commission; euthanasia allegations; negative DOH surveys and CMS termination; medical staff credentialing issues; inappropriate patient health information disclosures; DOJ and OIG investigations; reimbursement fraud allegations; impaired provider issues; criminal investigations; management reorganization; reductions in workforce; medical malpractice cases; hospital sales and acquisitions; clinical trial complications and patient abuse allegations. She has worked with virtually all major news outlets including the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, USA Today, Reuters, Bloomberg, Newsweek, US News, CNN, MSNBC, 60 Minutes, 20/20 and local news outlets across the country and internationally.
Plorin has spoken to numerous business groups and trade organizations, and has presented to graduate communications and business management classes at Belmont University and the Vanderbilt University Owen Graduate School of Management. She has served as faculty or guest presenter in webinars and conferences presented by organizations including the American Health Lawyers Association, the American Bar Association, the Federation of American Hospitals and the International Association of Business Communicators. An accomplished writer, Plorin has overseen the production of numerous annual reports, white papers, brochures and related business materials; she has also served as a contributing editor to Nashville Magazine and Dayton Monthly magazine.
A native Nashvillian who returned to her hometown after 13 years, Plorin is a graduate of Denison University in Granville, Ohio. She is on the boards of Affordable Housing Resources and Downtown Nashville Rotary, and serves on the Business Council for Hope Park Church. Plorin volunteers with the Girl Scout Council of Cumberland Valley and Second Harvest Food Bank. She also serves on the public relations committee for the Federation of American Hospitals. She was recognized as a "40 Under 40" in both Dayton and Nashville.
