Andrea White Senior Account Supervisor
Andrea White brings 20 years of marketing experience that spans the public, private and nonprofit sectors. She specializes in communications related to healthcare business development, provider outreach and health policy implementation. Her work has included marketing for new product launches of early stage healthcare technology, working in public affairs related to health policy research at a national think tank, analyzing the business implications of health policy proposals for a Fortune 100 company’s Office of Governmental Affairs, and promoting several high visibility healthcare product and technology initiatives in conjunction with the Governor’s office for the state of Tennessee.
In 2008 White served as the Co-Chair of an eight state federal Provider Education Task Force working on healthcare provider communications and outreach strategies related to issues of healthcare privacy and security in light of new technologies. The project was funded by the Health Information Security and Privacy Collaborative (HISPC) under the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONCHIT).
Prior to specializing in healthcare White conducted market research and developed marketing plans in the consumer products and publishing industries. At various times she has worked at or consulted with I.B.M., H.C.A., General Mills, Black & Decker, NBC/Wall Street Journal polls, The Urban Institute, Thomas Nelson Publishers, Bristol Development, the Vanderbilt University Chancellor’s Fund, the Governor’s eHealth Council for the State of Tennessee, and the launch team for the state of Tennessee’s Cover Tennessee products for the uninsured.
She brings functional expertise in marketing, advertising, public relations, public affairs, original market research, secondary research, and has extensive experience writing everything from brochures and newsletters to press releases, feature stories, and white papers. Additionally, she has produced a variety of multimedia marketing tools ranging from audio sales catalogs to flash videos and “trailers.”
White is a native Nashvillian. She has an undergraduate degree from Georgetown University and an M.B.A. in marketing from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business. She was invited and served as a juror for both Round I and Round II of applications for the Meharry-Vanderbilt Alliance “Revolution in Health Care” grants. She currently serves on the Advisory Board of United Way 211 in Middle Tennessee and as an admissions interviewer for Georgetown University. She is a member of Leadership Healthcare (an initiative of the Nashville Healthcare Council), the International Association of Business Communicators, and the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society.
